BBH: What Blogging Platform Do You Use?

Previously hosted by Jen @ Crazy For Books, and now by Ramblings of A Coffee Addicted Writer, Book Blogger Hop is a weekly post to help book bloggers connect with each other. The only requirements to participate in the Hop are to write and link a post answering the weekly question and then visit other blogs that are also participating to see if you like their blog and would like to follow them.

This week's question is:

Which format do you use? Blogger, Word Press, or an independent format? Any reason for your choice? Elizabeth @ Silver's Reviews

When I was still an on-again-off-again blogger when I was young, I always tried free Wordpress. However, when I revived Mara Was Here and used Blogger, it was most probably because it felt like using Blogger for blogging as a hobby was better than using Wordpress. Plus, the themes you can use for the free version of Wordpress are limited, wherein in Blogger we can customize our templates all we want. Eventually, I knew I felt more accustomed to using Blogger than Wordpress.

How about you?

*Pops confetti* Congratulations, you've reached 'till the end of this post! I'm Mara, 15, and I love anything bookish and graphic designing. I also spend 90% of my life fawning over fictional boyfriends and smelling books. Thanks for hanging out at my blog! (And yes, that's me sniffing Six of Crows in our car.)

  1. Yep, Blogger is definitely better than free Wordpress IMO -- although I hear the transition to self-hosted Wordpress is easier that way, so if you see that as a definite short-term endgoal, Wordpress might be easier. I'm not a huge fan of Wordpress self host options, though, so I'll either stay on Blogger or move to Squarespace in the long run.

    1. I'm practically a loyal Blogger user now. xD I've become accustomed to the way the platform works, so I'll probably only ever switch to Wordpress when I know I'll be tough enough to try being self-hosted.

  2. Everywhere I see people saying Wordpress is better, but I definitely think that Blogger is the best! It is so user friendly and customizable. Yay for Blogger!
